Dental Assistant's view

I spent the week of the 27^th June 2011 working alongside Dr Bhavnish Waghela at Natural Smiles, carrying out dental nurse duties.

I am a fully qualified dental nurse and normally work as Welcome Team Manager at the private practice. I thoroughly enjoyed my week nursing and it made a nice change to be given the opportunity to do something different.

I got to assist in some different treatments that I had not experienced before as I have previously only worked in NHS practices. 

All I can say is ‘wow, what a difference’. 

The time and care from Bhavnish that was taken over each patients treatment was great. Right from when the patient entered the surgery until they left. Each patient left the surgery very happy with the treatment that was received. It also made me feel very happy, knowing that I had helped in creating their perfect smile.

I must say I am very impressed with the Cerec machine we have at Natural Smiles, it is such an advantage to our patients. Patients receive their crowns within an hour rather than having 2 or 3 appointments and whilst they are waiting, they get to have a break with a hot or cold beverage. I was very intrigued to see how it all worked as I was yet to use this. The finished product was amazing and I loved taking the patients to show them how they’re crowns were made. This made the patients experience more special too and they were also amazed.
